James Deen Refocuses on Blog

LOS ANGELES—Adult star James Deen has relaunched JamesDeenBlog.com, the online site where he has shared his obsession with boobs, buttholes, and burritos.

Deen bluntly said, “I chose to redesign and launch my blog because it looked old and gross. I have been spending the last five years focusing on my companies and have kind of put the blog to the side. I visited the site the other day and decided it made no sense. It was kinda messy. Since there is so much content there it was hard to navigate and seemed dated. I wanted to create a better platform to promote the companies I partner with for JamesDeen.com, while still being able to promote the stars I work with and the companies I work for.”

JamesDeenBlog.com was started in 2009 as a place for the adult star to archive and share his day-to-day life. Since then, the blog has delivered daily behind-the-scenes updates. For years, the site was the only place for fans to access who Deen really was, with every blog written in his own voice and opinions. It achieved widespread notice from mainstream media, resulting in features in GQ Magazine, Glamour, Arena Homme +, Vogue Italia, Rolling Stone, Esquire, and many other.

At peak performance, JamesDeenBlog.com was receiving close to 25,000 unique views a day. Deen used this viewership to promote the companies he works for, the models he works with, and eventually his own site, JamesDeen.com.

“I feel like the new model is much more user-friendly and can still deliver the reader a great experience while better displaying the desired information," Deen said. "And it's super important that people know how I feel about burritos and butts."
