"The awards from AVN were the perfect way to cap the 2013 Adult Entertainment Expo," said Deen. "My booth was always busy with fans and media, and there are a lot more people now walking around in James Deen apparel. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a great four days in Vegas."
The Best Three-Way Sex Scene award recognized the scene between Deen and his co-stars Asa Akira and Brooklyn Lee in Elegant Angel’s Asa Akira Is Insatiable 3. AVN’s Heather Namikoshi called the scene "an aggressive, good anal three-way where all involved use all they have. Wow, it’s good."
Deen’s Crossover Star of the Year award is partially a result of his starring role in Bret Easton Ellis and Paul Schrader’s upcoming feature film, The Canyons, where he acts opposite Lindsay Lohan. Deen also accrued a staggering amount of mainstream press in 2012, including features in outlets GQ, Hollywood Reporter, US Magazine, New York Times, CNN.com, and CNBC.com.
Deen’s newest mainstream project is as producer on Cowboys & Engines, a short steampunk western film. The project is currently in production and raising funds through KickStarter.com.
