LOS ANGELES—Veteran director Ivan is launching his podcast ,“King Slivan,” on iTunes, iHeart Radio, Spotify and other major platforms.
Ivan, who was hospitalized for kidney failure and a massive leg infection a year ago this month, underwent nine surgeries that ultimately saved his leg and his life. While at the hospital, he launched “King Slivan” on his own platform and is now branching out to share his story with a larger audience.
“I wanted to share my story with others. I know way too many people that have the same work ethic as myself. We put everything aside for our love of creating,” he said. “Forgetting to love ourselves at the end of the day. My hospital stay was very positive as I learned so much about myself and people around me. And even started this Podcast while healing at the hospital.”
Nine surgeries, 65 pounds lighter, and with self described, “Awesome Viking scars,” up and down his leg, Ivan is back creating new projects.
