Is New Orleans Ready For DomCon? It Opens There This Week

NEW ORLEANS, LA—Women (and men!) in rubber catsuits, people sporting jingling chains, and human ponies in leather—no, Halloween hasn’t come early in The Big Easy; DomCon has come to town. Doors open tomorrow for the convention, which will run October 5-8, in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

DomCon New Orleans will feature over 80 special guests including professional Dommes, BDSM educators and kinky professionals, who'll try to make this an unforgettable experience. Joining them will be hundreds of international fetish fanatics, BDSM enthusiasts, sexual adventurers, gender pioneers and those curious and new to kink.

Thursday, October 5, the convention starts with the industry-only seminar series, sponsored by Kink.com. Subjects this year include “Sensory Dep and Bio-feedback” with Goddess Phoenix, “Politics of Being a Pro” with Madam Margherite, and “Working with Gender Variant People” by Sera Miles and Frida Miles. At 8 P.M., DomCon will welcome the kinky public with their red carpet social and opening ceremonies.

October 6-8, DomCon will provide kink and fetish lovers with the latest in fetish fashions and BDSM gear in their vendor area. Classes this year feature subjects ranging from flogging, spanking, and bondage to more advanced themes like suspension, CBT, fisting, and many more. Relationship workshops include subjects like submission, infidelity issues, negotiations, and protocols.

Friday at 7 P.M., Whplr.com will present the DomCon Fetish Parade on Bourbon Street, just one of the many outrageous  celebrations, parties and socials that come with DomCon. Along with the nightly fetish parties are the Pro-Domme Social, Mistress Tea, Crossdresser Pageant, Male Dom Social and the DomCon-nection speed dating event.

Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel hosts DomCon NOLA at 739 Canal Street in New Orleans. Sponsors include the AVN Show, Kink University, Stockroom, Orchid and Serpent, The Kink Factory, Spunk Lube and many more. For details on classes, seminars, registration and more, go to DomConNewOrleans.com.
