ImLive Launches 'Sexy Cuts' for Cutting One's Hair With Cam Model

LONDON—Camming site ImLive.com has launched “Sexy Cuts,” an adult camming experience that allows men to consult with hosts or models who have haircutting knowledge for assistance in cutting their own hair and then engage in a camming session with them.

The new offering, which kicks off today with a party on the site, aims to help men look their best while staying safe during quarantine for COVID-19, and offers an alternative to people in states where barbershops are opening. Sexy Cuts will feature hundreds of hosts who have been vetted to participate in the project.

“Quarantining has been instrumental in stopping the growth in cases of the coronavirus, but, as many approach week eight of being on lockdown, it has not been kind to the growth of our hair. We understand the need for a fresh cut—the old adage ‘look good, feel good’ is no joke—but it’s not worth the risk of getting sick or spreading the virus so others will get sick,” said Adrian Stoneman, VP of ImLive. “To help men look their best while staying safe, we’re excited to offer ‘Sexy Cuts,’ which will allow our sexy hosts with haircutting experience to provide live, one-on-one guidance and tips. Whether you’re looking for direction on how to do a tight fade or you just need an extra set of eyes to ensure your crew cut is even, our beautiful ladies are here to help!”

To get a virtual haircut, users must set up an account and then select a host from the party and take her private. Haircuts take between 15 minutes and one hour—depending on the style and length of hair—and rates are determined by the hosts and vary. Depending on the desired cut, users will need a buzzer with different size attachments, scissors and fine tooth comb. After the haircuts, users can test out their new haircut and engage in a sensual camming session with the model.

Sexy Cuts comes just in time as some states, like Georgia, are opening barbershops and salons. This controversial opening of such non-essential businesses has drawn criticism for prematurely opening and potentially enabling the spreading of the coronavirus.

This program builds on ImLive’s “Stay Home, Don’t Date” campaign, which launched last month to condemn dating and dating apps that enable the spreading of the coronavirus. In that campaign, which drew support and participation from celebrities like Bella Thorne, ImLive offered to give away up to $50 million worth of credits for purchasing private camming session experiences to new users who commit to abstaining from dating during quarantine.
