Holly, Suze Randall Featured in Hustler Mag's 50th Anniv. Issue

LOS ANGELESHolly Randall and Suze Randall celebrated 50 years of Hustler Magazine with a pair of Q & A interviews in the 50th anniversary issue. They detailed their experiences and favorite memories working with Larry Flynt and his brand. 

In the interviews, Suze, who holds the distinction of being the magazine’s first female photographer, opened up about her approach to dealing with Flynt. She shared, "We fought all the time, and that’s what I loved about him." Suze also talked about her first foray into the business, "I started photographing my girlfriends behind the scenes and then selling them to The Sun newspaper." Suze commented on today’s fast-paced shooting schedules, "Poor Holly, she has to do four layouts in one day… I would do four days for one layout… plenty of time for models to get into the groove."

Holly talked about her early challenges in the industry, "It was hard in the beginning. I was 'Suze Randall’s daughter,' but the person who probably guided me the most was my father." On following her mother's footsteps, Holly said, "I always knew I wanted to be a photographer and take beautiful images of women." Holly shared her her thoughts on Flynt, she commented, "The content was always beautiful, and Larry was unwavering in his vision. Thank you for changing the world, Larry. There will never be anyone else like you. It was an honor to know you and grow up in your presence."

In addition to reflecting on her mother's influence on her career, Holly also shared a vintage photo of Suze breastfeeding Holly as an infant during a photo shoot with the magazine. Said Holly, "Growing up with a trailblazer like my mother, I’ve always been inspired by her boldness and creativity. For me, this special edition of Hustler is a tribute to her incredible legacy, as well as Larry’s and the path they paved for so many of us in the industry."
