LOS ANGELES—Gazzman and Scarlett Revell have announced that their double win at the newly launched Sirina International Erotic Awards based in Greece was down to their theory that it’s not just sex that sells, but quality sex.
“We were delighted to be invited to the first ever International Erotic Awards show hosted by Sirina Entertainment in the Olympic Stadium in Athens,” Gazzman said.
“We’ve been championing quality porn since joining this industry and these awards for our team’s efforts prove we were spot on. The event itself was a return to the glamour of the past. It reminded me of when we used to go to the glitzy Hot D’Or awards in Cannes. It was every bit as grand. We had the stadium’s red carpet and paparazzi, the giant stage and auditorium, the crowds of guests, musical acts, dancers and of course the awards. This was the night I got to see Scarlett win her title Best Female Friendly Director, which is 100 percent on the money!”
Scarlett echoed Gazzman’s excitement, “I’ve never been to Athens and I certainly never expected to win an award there. It’s a beautiful city and the event was way bigger than I imagined. I’ve just got to say thank you so much to Dimitris Sirinakis, the owner of Sirina Entertainment for giving me the chance of sharing a stage with Rocco Siffredi, Gazzman and so many other award winners.”
She continued, “It really gives you a boost when you see how making high-end films really makes sense, not just to win awards but to deliver what the fans want. We see that from the demand for our films, people just keep asking for more. That’s why we never joined the race to the bottom when it came to budgets, even if at times we were under pressure. Having a great team of actors and crew creating such great content is what makes the difference. It’s what makes people want to get horny with our films!”
With Gazzman picking up Best Director award wearing his kilt, the night had an international appeal, as press and TV representing media from around the world covered the night’s action.
Gazzman is an award-winning Scottish director of more than 150 adult films since 2004. His recent move back to directing for Barcelona-based studio Private sees an expansion into story-based porn for major broadcasters.
Revell, a native New Yorker, worked her way up from Avid editor to being an established director of more than 30 films for top brands such as Penthouse and Playboy. She’s just finished a major feature for Private and has a full slate of projects through 2019.
