Gamma Films’ Pure Taboo, Girlsway Receive 6 AVN Awards for 2019

MONTREAL, QC—Gamma Films’ Pure Taboo and Girlsway studios are the recipients of six AVN Awards for 2019, including three gold statuettes for acting.

Pure Taboo’s boundary-crossing "forbidden passion" themes earned the studio five awards. Eliza Jane took home the Best Actress - Feature trophy for her star turn in Anne: A Taboo Parody, while Joanna Angel won the Best Supporting Actress award for her Pure Taboo debut A Trailer Park Taboo.

Director Bree Mills’ intense drama The Weight of Infidelity won the Best Featurette award, and its leading man Tommy Pistol was named Best Actor - Featurette; Pistol’s thriller The Psychiatrist won for Best Lewd Propositions Movie.

Lesbian adult studio Girlsway brought in the award for Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene for A Flapper Girl Story, starring Ivy Wolfe, Eliza Jane & Jenna Sativa.

“We owe a debt of gratitude to AVN for supporting our work and awarding us with these incredible reminders of how far we’ve come in the industry in such a short time,” said Mills, head of Gamma Films.

Mills and her Gamma Films team were a part of the festivities at the AVN Awards Show Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada during the Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE).
