MONTREAL—Top content sites/studios Adult Time, Girlsway, Pure Taboo, Devil’s Film, Fantasy Massage, Model Time and Burning Angel all operate under one umbrella: Gamma Entertainment—and all of these specialty brands have been recognized for a total of 62 AVN Awards nominations for 2021.
Adult Time collected 14 nominations for its original productions: four for Girlcore, three for Transfixed, two for Hentai Sex School, two for True Lesbian, one for How Women Orgasm, one for Age & Beauty and one for Bree Mills for Best Directing—Site/Network Content.
Pure Taboo earned 19 noms: six for Under the Bed, including Grand Reel and Best Actress—Featurette for Alina Lopez; two for Cutting the Cord: A Jane Wilde Story, including Best Actor—Featurette for Charles Dera and Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene; two for Afrodisiac: A Demi Sutra Story, including Best Actor—Featurette for Steve Holmes and Best Actress—Featurette for Demi Sutra; and two for Lesbian Revenge, including Best Girl/Girl Sex Scene and Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene.
The ‘forbidden relations’-themed studio also picked up three Best Featurette nominations for Keep Your Family Close, Mom’s Not Coming Back, Sweetheart and Transgressions: A Sovereign Syre Story. Dick Chibbles got a nod for Best Actor—Featurette for The Real Me, as did Johnny Goodluck for No One Was Supposed to Be Here; Emily Willis brought in a Best Actress—Featurette nom for Nymphomania: An Emily Willis Story and Joanna Angel for Best Non-Sex Performance in UnrelatedX.
Girlsway was nominated for nine awards: Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene and Best All-Girl Movie or Anthology for Popular; Best All-Girl Series or Site for WebYoung; Best Directing—Comedy, Best Editing and Best Screenplay—Comedy for Cougar Queen: A Tiger King Parody; Clever Title of the Year for Diagnosis Squirter; Best Female Mixed-Age Movie or Anthology for Cougariffic; and Best MILF/Female Mixed-Age Series or Site for Mommy’s Girl.
Top star/director Joanna Angel and Burning Angel Entertainment scored with 11 nominations: Grand Reel, Best Editing, Best Directing—Drama, Best POV Sex Scene, Best Soundtrack, Best Special Effects and Best Makeup for Lana, Best Directing—Comedy, Best Screenplay—Comedy, and Best Art Direction for Evil Tiki Babes, and Best Gonzo/Wall-to-Wall Series or Site for Goth Nymphos.
Model Time and Devil’s Film also got three nominations each, while 21 Sextury received two and Fantasy Massage earned one.
