LOS ANGELES—Last week, Erotic Sky Magazine launched a special Juneteenth "Ebony Empress" edition for its seventh volume for the quarterly publication.
The publication was released after the magazine won the 2024 AltPorn Award for Best Alternative Magazine.
Erotic Sky Magazine CEO Lyric Sky said, "We made an ebony edition to showcase the beautiful, intelligent, award-winning ebony women in our industry because they deserved to be showcased to the world. Our industry doesn't always make the best marketing decisions that represent ebony women as they should be represented. Juneteenth has been historically celebrated in the black community well before it was made a holiday and we felt that the world should see these women being celebrated as well."
With this special edition, the magazine aims to show that ebony women are more than just a niche category in the industry.
"This is the magazine’s first special edition and there will be even more in the future. I enjoyed shooting and creating this volume more than I can even express," said Salacious Perceptions, magazine cinematographer and creative director.
Sky added, "With each edition, the magazine continues to grow and gain support with the special "Ebony Empress," or volume 7, already becoming the best-selling edition to date despite only releasing last week."
Perceptions continued, "It makes us feel like we are going in the right direction! Like I said before, to be recognized for the magazine is an award on its own."
Sky expressed, "Erotic Sky Magazine continues to make a magazine that represents all of the women in the adult entertainment industry."
The Erotic Sky Magazine team concluded, "The future is bright. Grab some sunglasses. It's about to get blinding."
Sky, the magazine, and its empresses will be present at Exxxotica Expo Miami from June 28 to 30.
