LOS ANGELES—Adult filmmaker Erika Lust and her Lust Cinema and XConfessions imprints have received 18 nominations for the 2021 AVN Awards. The event will be held virtually at 8 p.m. PST on Saturday, Jan. 23 and will be streamed on AVN Stars.
“We made it. 2020 has been a crazy, hectic year where people in lockdown have been craving for more and more adult entertainment, and we gave them some of the best adult content we've ever produced!” Lust said. “Receiving so many nominations is the best reward for all the hard work and the passion we've put into my first original series for Lust Cinema, Safe Word.”
Among the nominations are Best Directing – Foreign Production for Lust herself for Safe Word, as well as Best Directing – Drama for performer/director Casey Calvert, who directed Primary.
“I want to say thank you to AVN for our 12 nominations, including Grand Reel!” Calvert said. “I'm especially proud that all my main actors got nominated in their respective categories. Everyone worked so hard on this project, and I'm so happy it's getting the recognition it deserves.”
