CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Sister labels New Sensations and Digital Sin received nominations for the 2018 XRCO Awards in the categories of Best Release for The Submission of Emma Marx: Evolved and Best Girl/Girl Series for The Lesbian Experience.
The Submission of Emma Marx: Evolved marks the fourth installment of the multi-award winning franchise, opening a new chapter in the life of central character Emma Marx—now on her own and taking charge of her first submissive.
Writer/director Jacky St. James, nominated herself this year for Best Director (Features), once again takes the helm, with Penny Pax reprising her role as Marx and newcomer Violet Starr making her feature acting debut as sub Mariah.
"XRCO has always supported my work since I first entered the business seven years ago," St. James said. Collectively, the Emma Marx series has won four XRCO Awards, two Nightmoves awards and 10 AVN Awards, including wins for Best BDSM Movie for the original The Submission of Emma Marx and its first sequel The Submission of Emma Marx: Boundaries.
Digital Sin once again received a Best Girl/Girl Series nomination for The Lesbian Experience, an artistically produced line of high-end lesbian erotica exploring a variety of adult themes and featuring today's top stars and newcomers. The series launched in May of 2016 and features works by award-winning directors St. James, Paul Woodcrest and Eddie Powell.
"The support this series has received from fans and critics alike has always been extremely rewarding and it's a great honor to have it recognized by the members of the XRCO," Powell said.
