LOS ANGELES—After winning season two of OFTV’s "This Is Fire" hosted by Grandmaster Chef Jojo, Emma Magnolia is ready to compete in the final round against Nathan Webb.
Magnolia admits that she stayed up late the night before studying recipes, while Webb spent time online to brush up on different types of recipes. Chef Jojo reveals the final dish will be lamb and the contestants must also include beets and ricotta cheese in their recipes. Magnolia and Webb have 30 minutes to create their dishes.
Magnolia begins by cooking her beets and Chef Jojo compliments her for throwing some fat in while they cook to add flavor. Magnolia cracks some jokes about Webb copying what she is doing. Magnolia’s goal is to have a beautiful crust on the lamb.
While Magnolia is happy with her final dish, she wishes she had more experience with lamb. Her dish is seared lamb chops with raspberry and mint puree, thinly-sliced beets, stacked with basil lemon ricotta.
If she wins, Magnolia said she will use the $20,000 to travel, while Webb plans on giving his daughter, who lives in Texas, a White Christmas so she can see snow. To find out who wins, watch the finale here.
