CLEARWATER, Fla.—ED Publications, a trade magazine covering the gentlemen’s club industry, announced several details about its upcoming 25th anniversary Gentlemen’s Club Expo.
The first event took place in 1993 in Las Vegas, and Sin City hosted the Expo 20 times in the past 24 years. This year, the Gentlemen’s Club Expo is headed “back home,” Aug. 27-30 at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, with its brand new convention area, will play host to the multi-billion-dollar industry’s only national convention and awards show. The brand new, 12-page 25th Expo brochure is currently available for view at TheEDExpo.com, the convention’s official website.
“While this is just the ‘first look’ at this year’s Silver-Anniversary Expo, there’s already a lot to be excited about,” said ED Publications’ Associate Publisher and Expo co-producer Dave Manack. “We’ve announced two big ‘returns’ — the return of the $10,000 Expo Bikini Contest, thanks to event sponsor Platinum 84 in Denver, and the return of the big Expo Tradeshow Mainstage, thanks to sponsor Sound Stage Systems.”
The new brochure also presents all of this year’s “Welcome to the Future” seminar topics, including the “Government relationships you need for your club’s future,” which will include a former police chief, congressman and state liquor board member. The Expo Legal Panel will also address the industry’s most crucial issue today: What you NEED to know if you’re considering converting your entertainers to employees.
ED Publications, which has produced the Expo since the first show in ‘93 at the (now-defunct) Stardust Hotel & Casino, is also proud to note that next year’s Expo will play host to the 20th Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show—aka, the ED’s Awards Show—the only national awards show for the top adult nightclubs and feature entertainers. This year’s ED’s Awards Show will be held inside the Hard Rock at The Joint Theater on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
Exciting Hard Rock Hotel and Casino venues will play host to Expo 2017 events, including Vanity (which will host the Opening Night Party), The Joint Theater and the Breathe Pool Ultra Lounge (which will host the “Chill Day” Pool Party & Bikini Contest).
