VENICE, Calif. – Brandi Love discusses the controversy her support for President Donald Trump has stirred in a new interview in The Daily Beast, title "Meet the Pro-Trump Porn Star Who Writes for The Federalist."
Daily Beast Senior Entertainment Editor Marlow Stern spoke with Love after her recent op-ed in the right wing publication The Federalist which was a response to a story by Charlie Peters that assailed the increased popularity of OnlyFans during America’s coronavirus shutdown.
“The emails and hate I get are equal,” Love told Stern of the criticism she gets from liberals and conservatives. “The feminist movement is attached to the left—it’s a ‘liberal’ movement; you may have some feminists in the conservative movement, but I’ve never met one. They hate me, which seems hypocritical because they push for women to have equal rights and push for women’s power. I have it. I have the power and I’m making the money, and yet they hate me. Go on my Twitter feed, you’ll see. Anytime the far left works with the far right to get something done, which is to abolish porn, we should all be afraid. That is a frightening concept to me.”
Love told Stern that the adult industry is mostly liberal and that in the Trump era, politics are a more common topic of discussion than ever, noting she’s been in a few heated conversations on set. But while she said she’ll always stand up for herself, she thinks it can be best to avoid talking politics at work. She explained that she’s never not worked with someone because of their politics and that her own political positions have not impacted her career.
