CYBERSPACE—Comedian Chrissie Mayr hosted what she described as "an emergency podcast" recording over the weekend with guests Smarty Kat, Rahyndee James and Jayden Cole to discuss the controversy surrounding Bella Thorne's debut on OnlyFans.
For those who haven't been following the news, Hollywood star Thorne signed up to produce content on the adult site OnlyFans and made a record breaking $2M over a two-day period, in large part by charging fans $200 to see what many believed would be a nude photo—but turned out to only be a lingerie shot. This dust-up reportedly had negative ramifications for other adult stars and sex workers who use the website as their main source of income.
The guests have varied takes on the situation and whether Thorne being on the platform is ultimately good or bad for the industry. Mayr hosts the round table discussion and has video of it up on her YouTube channel, as well as audio versions on iTunes, Spotify and Soundcloud.
In previous weeks, Mayr's podcast hit all time highs on the iTunes rankings charts and has featured notable adult stars such as Nicole Aniston, Nikki Delano, Alix Lynx, Silvia Saige and Karma Rx.
