Benefit Monkey’s 'Carmilla' Wins Venus Festival Jury Prize

VALENCIA, Spain—A short film, "Carmilla," directed by Alex the Monkey and produced by adult production company Benefit Monkey, has won the Special Jury Prize at the inaugural Venus International Erotic Film Festival.

"Carmilla" is a reinterpretation of a classic literary horror-erotic tale set against the backdrop of New York City. The short film marks the first collaboration between actresses Amy Douxxx and Melody Marks. Art director Brisen created the film’s urban aesthetic.

"Receiving an award from a prominent festival like Venus is an incredible honor," said Alex the Monkey. "The fact that a work rooted in the pornographic tradition has been celebrated in a broader cinematic context is a testament to the growing recognition and appreciation of adult content as a legitimate form of artistic expression. This is a rare and significant moment for the industry."

Produced for Benefit Monkey's Lezkey brand, the film attempts to bridge the gap between mainstream erotic cinema and adult entertainment.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Brillbabes and Julmodels agencies for providing the exceptional actresses who made this achievement possible,” Benefit Monkey added.

The film is available on thebenefitmonkey.com and lezkey.com.
