LOS ANGELES—Bree Mills joins host Mx Bel Morrigan as a special guest on the season two premiere of "Fishnets & Philosophy" with the episode, “Sex on Screen – Perspectives with Bree Mills”.
The award-winning director and Chief Creative Officer of Adult Time opens up about her journey into the adult film industry and the inspiration that drives her storytelling as a filmmaker, as she shares her views on the power of exploring diverse areas of sexuality on film.
“I think that sex and sexuality and sexual identity are some of the most interesting subjects as a writer and as a filmmaker that one could explore, and I’ve always been drawn to that… much more so than the sex itself!” she tells Morrigan, offering listeners a glimpse into her creative mind.
The conversation dives into the artistic and liberating aspects of adult filmmaking, with Mills expressing her appreciation for the lack of censorship. “For me what has always been so cool about adult filmmaking is that I can tell stories without having to censor myself… I like to think of porn films as films, no different than any others, minus the budget—films that include sex in them, so that’s the difference between what we make and what may be shown across theatre chains.”
She also notes that AdultTime.com is unique as a streaming service in that it caters to a wide variety of viewers. “We have lots of couples, we have lots of people across the gender identity spectrum, across the sexuality spectrum, of all ages, of all backgrounds, and that’s what we’re all about is just sort of welcoming everybody who wants to come in and be a part of our community.”
