LOS ANGELES—Mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support announced BongaCams has joined as a supporter-level sponsor.
“BongaCams are proud to be sponsors of Pineapple, we believe in the work they do and want to do our part,” said BongaCams Affiliate Manager Aleksandra. “We care for models and treat them with respect! It’s incredibly important for us to help.”
The live webcam company joins more than 40 adult business and organizations committing funds and resources to the Pineapple Support.
“We are incredibly grateful to BongaCams for their continuing support,” said Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit. “The increasing support from cam companies sends a message that the mental health of cam models is being supported across the industry. The support of sponsors like BongaCams enables the continued service that we provide to the adult community, as we look towards our two-year anniversary in January.”
Tanit founded Pineapple Support in early 2018 after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organisation, which is a registered 501(c)3 tax-deductible qualifying charity in the US, and a registered charity in the UK, has connected over 700 adult performers to mental health services so far, including free and low-cost, therapy, counseling and emotional support.
