Benefit Monkey Short Movie Earns Venus Film Festival Nomination

LOS ANGELES—"Carmilla," a new short directed by Benefit Monkey owner Alex the Monkey, featuring Amy Douxxx and Melody Marks, is nominated for Best Fiction Short Film at the Venus International Erotic Film Festival (El Festival Internacional de Cine Erótico Venus) in Valencia, Spain.

The nominated scene is "A bold reinterpretation of a classic horror-erotic literature story, set against the backdrop of New York City," the company said, noting that it marks the first collaboration between Douxxx and Marks. The production also includes art director Brisen.

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by a mainstream festival like Venus,” said Alex the Monkey. “This nomination underscores the growing acceptance and appreciation of adult content as a legitimate form of artistic expression. It’s thrilling to see a scene like ours, rooted in the pornographic tradition, being celebrated in a broader cinematic context.”

Produced under Benefit Monkey's Lezkey brand, the movie aims to bridge the gap between mainstream erotic cinema and adult entertainment, the company said.

The movie is available at thebenefitmonkey.com and lezkey.com.
