Beducated Survey Reveals Gen Z Reports the Lowest Libido

LOS ANGELES—Beducated, a digital platform for adult sex education, has released the results of a recent survey highlighting generational differences in libido, with Gen Z reporting the lowest libido on average compared to other generations.

The comprehensive survey included respondents from various age groups, assessing their libido levels on a scale from 1 (Nonexistent) to 5 (High). The findings revealed:

• Age 18-24 (Gen Z): Out of 169 respondents, 48 reported lower libido levels (≈28.4%).
• Age 25-34: Out of 577 respondents, 127 reported lower libido levels (≈22.0%).
• Age 35-49: Out of 715 respondents, 126 reported lower libido levels (≈17.6%).
• Age 50-64: Out of 313 respondents, 55 reported lower libido levels (≈17.6%).
• Age 65+: Out of 105 respondents, 20 reported lower libido levels (≈19.0%).

The youngest age group, Gen Z (18-24), showed the highest proportion of respondents with lower libido at approximately 28.4%. The proportion of respondents reporting lower libido generally decreases with age, reaching its lowest in the age groups 35-49 and 50-64, both at 17.6%. Interestingly, there is a slight increase in the proportion of respondents reporting lower libido in the 65+ age group, at 19.0%.

“These findings suggest that younger adults, particularly those in Gen Z, are more likely to report lower libido compared to other age groups,” said Beducated founder Mariah Freya. “This trend of decreasing libido with age up to a certain point and a slight increase in older adults provides valuable insights for understanding the sexual well-being of different generations.”

The survey’s results underline the importance of addressing the specific needs and concerns of various age groups in sexual health education, and Beducated is committed to providing tailored resources and support to help individuals of all ages understand and navigate their sexual health and well-being.
