April Flores Writes About Sex Work in Essay for 'We Too'

LOS ANGELES—April Flores' writing will appear in a collection of narrative essays from sex workers in the latest publication from Feminist Press, We Too.

On Tuesday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. PT Flores will participate in a group reading with editor Natalie West and fellow contributors Sonya Aragon, Vanessa Carlisle, Milcah Halili, and Yin Q. To join either in-person or virtually, register here.

"Our culture has a perpetual fascination with sex work and workers," says Flores. "Oftentimes media is created about us, but the more insightful and meaningful work is created by us. These are our stories shared in our own words. It is a thrill and honor to have my essay included in We Too alongside so many people I respect and admire. As a lifelong LA resident, it's a dream come true to be part of an event at the iconic Skylight Books on March 3 at 6:30 p.m."
