LOS ANGELES—Vivid Radio host and relationship expert Annie Cruz explores sexless relationships in her November 9 #ThirstTrapThursday column for popular music, entertainment and lifestyle site Hip-HopVibe.com.
Annie has coached thousands of men and women on how to achieve successful relationships through in-person sessions and on her The Dirtiest Girl in the World show on VividRadio.com and SiriusXM channel 415 (Mondays from 12 noon to 1pm PT).
“Sex in a romantic relationship means so much more than just getting off. It’s a way to connect and it’s a way to show love,” said Annie. “That’s why the first step is communication.”
“Perhaps the issue is getting out of the routine funk that happens when people become complacent. If there are underlying issues in the relationship, go to counseling,” advised Annie. She points to research showing that 10 to 20 percent of relationships in the U.S. are sexless. She goes on to examine whether some of these relationships can be worked out and what are the other options—including ending them.
