LOS ANGELES—Angela White won big at the 2017 AVN Awards, particularly for her series Angela Loves …, which she directs, produces and stars in.
Consistently pressing her sexual boundaries, Angela experiences several “firsts” throughout the series. While critics and fans have consistently lauded White's performances, taking home trophies for her work provides tangible proof of these accolades.
At the 2017 AVN Awards, Angela won Best Continuing Series for Angela Loves… and Best Gonzo Movie for Angela Loves Gonzo. Additionally, the Angela White Fleshlight won the Fan Favorite vote for Most Amazing Sex Toy.
“I am completely overwhelmed by my wins at the 2017 AVN Awards,” said Angela. “I always put immense effort into the production and post-production of my Angela Loves … movies—I perform in them, I direct and produce them, I edit them all myself, I plan all of the wardrobe and art direction, and I am so honored that the series won Best Continuing Series. Any time you win an AVN Award, it is such a privilege. I was genuinely blown away when Angela Loves Gonzo won Best Gonzo Movie. To win such an award is extremely humbling for an emerging director like myself. As I said at the time of the movie's release, as a genre, gonzo has had an onslaught of attacks from conservative and anti-porn feminist campaigners for being the most degrading and misogynistic type of pornography. I released Angela Loves Gonzo because I wanted to challenge the assumption that women cannot or should not enjoy rough sex. I am so pleased and honored that this title was received so well by fans and critics and recognized by AVN. I’d like to thank wholeheartedly not only AVN, but also all the crew, performers, my distributor Girlfriends Films, retailers, and of course my fans, that make my Angela Loves … releases possible.
