LOS ANGELES—Amber Lynn welcomed long-time Madonna guitarist Monte Pittman and the Industrial Metal pioneer band Ministry to her “Rock-N-Sexxxy UnCensored,” which aired last night on the UBNGO Network.
“Wow, I think it’s about time to blow off some steam, talk some gossip and have a few laughs,” Lynn said. “Rock-N-Sexxxy is back on Thursdays with great, wild guests and I can’t wait to hear from listeners, live on-air.”
Pittman was known for his musical work long before joining Madonna’s band after meeting her at a local Guitar Center and giving her guitar lessons then going on the road with her for five world tours and counting. Pittman’s first band was Insanity, formed with Chris Sheehan which became Myra Mains based out of Texas, Then in 2000 he had a stint with the metal band Prong, where he played guitar on several of their live albums including 100% Live, Scorpio Rising, and on Prong’s 2007 release, Power of the Damager, of which he wrote five of 13 songs.
In between his other work, Pittman has cultivated a successful solo career releasing a succession of six albums, The Deepest Dark (2009), Pain, Love & Destiny (2011), The Power of Three (2014), Inverted Grasp of Balance (2016), featuring Billy Sheehan. He also released Between the Space (2018), accompanying Skid Row’s Sebastian Bach on tour, and Better or Worse (2018) on Metal Blade records.
Then, in June of 2021, Ministry headed by Al Jourgenson, announced a new fall tour lineup with its newest member, Pittman, replacing Sid Quirin who parted ways with the band. Pittman has previously played for Ministry during the 2015 tour.
“I’m looking forward to hearing from callers, fans, random weirdos, celebrities, influencers, porn stars, rock stars, and personalities—and I’m ready to f***ing rock,” Lynn said.
