HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—It seems that just about every news outlet wants to talk about the Pornhub/Visa/Mastercard/Discover fiasco these days, and even newbie adult content creator Allie Awesome hasn't escaped their notice. She was recently contacted by NBC News and Vice's Motherboard for her thoughts on the major credit card companies severing ties with Pornhub, and Awesome, who uses Pornhub, was among those discussing the effect the recent changes have had on her, as well as her fellow sex workers.
In her NBC News interview conducted by Olivia Solon, Awesome lent her voice to how this can only been seen as an attack on sex workers and their platforms, cutting off an income stream that is necessary to some creators who solely rely on Pornhub income to survive.
Awesome's other thoughts on the subject include that she's always fought against abuse and that there needs to be more accountability on mainstream platforms, including Facebook, that is known to have a huge problem with non-consensual content being shared. And, while a lot of work is done behind the scenes, it's sex workers who are leading the fight against abusive content, not the anti-porn movement.
Her interview with Vice's Motherboard concentrated on using Bitcoin as a payment method on adult platforms. While she's a user of cryptocurrency, she also understands that it's rare to see it used as a payment on Pornhub and Modelhub. With the absence of more traditional methods of payment, she's concerned that fans will not go through the added trouble of using those alternate methods.
Awesome is active on several social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok under "AllieAwesomesauce". She also offers fans a free OnlyFans and she can be found on her free Snapchat at @AllieAwesome415. Fans can help support Awesome with subscriptions to her premium OnlyFans and Snapchat accounts, or by purchasing clips on ManyVids and Pornhub. A Skype show can be scheduled and purchased through SkyPrivate.
