On Wondercon Panel, Alex Raymond Advises How to Get Media Notice

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Publicist/content creator Alexander "Monstar" Raymond has been tapped to share some methods that creators can utilize to attain press awareness on the "How to Get News Coverage" panel that will take place at the virtual Wondercon convention today. Joining a group of entertainment professionals, Raymond will talk about techniques and solutions that new creators can use to get media placement.

"I was honored to participate in the panel," said Raymond. "In the constantly evolving landscape of creating brand awareness, I look forward to contributing my experiences to the conversation. I believe even those not focused on the geek sphere of entertainment will find strategies to assist them."

What makes the difference between an item that will get news coverage, previews and interviews and one that won't? A lot of publishers have no idea what to submit to the press, how to submit it, or why they are being overlooked for coverage—and all of those problems, as well as possible solutions, will be covered during the "How to Get News Coverage" panel.

Wondercon's "How to Get News Coverage" panel will stream this afternoon at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET on the Wondercon/San Diego Comic-Con YouTube channel.

Raymond is currently working on multiple comic book/horror projects that will be completed later this year. The first is a podcast tentatively titled Monstar Presents The House of Flesh and Blood, a show covering the horror genre, especially the gothic horror films of the 1960s and '70s.
