CYBERSPACE—The 2016 holiday season may go down in tech history as the time that shoppers first took the plunge into high quality virtual reality content, as GameLink.com reports a 423 percent jump in its VR-related sales in December 2016.
Thanks mostly to the huge sales of VR headsets and accessories, Gamelink.com reported a 423.22 percent increase in sales over the same holiday period last year.
“We’re seeing a sharp rise in the number of people adopting VR technology and embracing it in a big way. The more headsets are sold, the more our numbers climb,” said Jeff Dillon, president of business development for eLine, which provides management services for GameLink.com. “The spike in our downloads is directly reflective of the sales of new VR equipment to the nation this holiday season. We are pleased to have partnered with all the adult studios offering VR content because this allows us to offer the largest possible library to the end user.”
The most popular title during the holidays was Marc Dorcel’s group sex-themed They’re Waiting for You, featuring Tara White and Jessie Volt. Second place in sales was the VR3000 three-way release Three’s Company, with Eden Sinclair and Molly Mae; followed by the all-anal Working Her Butt Off from Badoink, starring Zoe Doll.
