Zero Tolerance Receives 5 XRCO Nominations

LOS ANGELES—Zero Tolerance Entertainment received five XRCO award nominations including one for Sanatorium for Best Epic.

After finding out about his nomination for Best Director of a Feature, Gary Orona said, "Receiving the nomination for Best Director by XRCO is greatly appreciated and actually means more to me than some of the other awards because my work tends to be a bit more on the serious side and XRCO is helmed by serious writers, industry insiders and others who appreciate work that is compelling and professional. In particular I think it's great that XRCO has an 'epic' category and my movie Sanatorium really fits 'epic' perfectly!

“With all due respect to the other nominees, Sanatorium is something of a Lawrence of Arabia of porn. We shot it in five different states in some of the most wild, sublime and difficult to get to locations in the American Southwest. We used helicopters, houseboats, Land Rovers, just to get to some of the locations. Much of it was shot on huge 60 pound 35mm film cameras and the storyline of Sanatorium with respect to porn is about as epic as it will ever get! Thank God XRCO has an 'epic' category! I finally fit in the proper pigeon hole!"

Spock Buckton received a nomination in the Best Director of a Parody category and Zero Tolerance's director Mike Quasar was nominated for Best Director of a Non-Feature. "I'm flattered that they threw my name in to make the list appear longer," Quasar quipped.

Girlvana also received a nomination for Best Girl/Girl Series.

The XRCO award show will be held April 13 at The Highlands in Hollywood.
