LOS ANGELES—Gentlemen, start your engines! Just weeks after Brad Armstrong's Speed crossed the finish line with three trophies at the 28th Annual AVN Awards and snared an additional two at the ninth annual XBIZ Awards, the three-disc mega-production has been honored with three major 2011 X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) nominations. The project's track record to date includes Best Feature wins from both AVN and XBIZ.
An explosive hardcore thriller set against the world of Southern California motorcycle club culture, Speed's excellent performances, outstanding production values, and compelling stunts were recognized by the XRCO with a nomination for Best Epic, while the multi-disc DVD package's wealth of bonus material was rewarded with a nom for Most Outrageous DVD Extras. Fittingly, director Armstrong was also honored with a nomination for Best Director - Features.
In other categories, the excellence of Stormy Daniels' 2011 AVN Award-nominated Editor's Choice Whatever It Takes was rewarded with a richly deserved nomination for Best Feature, while Speed co-star Jessica Drake was honored with both a Best Actress nom for her fine work over the last 12 months and an induction into the XRCO Hall Of Fame. Wicked's resident Latin sensation Lupe Fuentes' sizzling screen persona and provocative beauty were duly noticed by the organization, and garnered her their popular Cream Dream nomination.
Wicked Pictures is pleased to congratulate its talented contract stars and directors for their 2011 XRCO nominations. Winners will be announced April 13 at the 27th Annual X-Rated Critics Organization Awards Show in Hollywood, Calif.
