Last January, Wendy Williams won the 2009 AVN Award for Transsexual Performer of the Year and kicked off 2009 with interviews, store signings and lots of social networking via Myspace, Twitter and various blog posts—all the while maintaining her website and production work through her own company, Hot Wendy Productions.
Now, as 2009 comes to an end, Wendy Williams once again has been nominated for AVN Awards: a repeat nod in the Transsexual Performer of the Year category and a nom for her series Wendy’s Wild Shemales. Williams also received a TrannyAwards.com nomination for her website (winner to be announced in January) and a performer nomination from XBIZ (winner to be announced in February).
This January, Wendy Williams will be seen on stage at the 2010 AVN Awards whether or not she takes home a trophy or two. On Jan. 9 at the Palms Pearl Theatre, the energetic star will become the second transsexual in AVN history to present an AVN Award.
"When I received the call I was speechless and thrilled. I have a great frendship with so many at AVN and within the mainstream side. I can't wait to attend the AEE Expo, the parties and, of course, the awards ceremony itself," Williams said.
Williams is currently resting in her hometown of Lexington, Ky., after some cosmetic surgeries—one of which increased her breast size to DD. At the same time she also had the privilege to interview and hang out with Nikki Benz this month when the latter featured danced in Lexington.
