LOS ANGELES—Vivid Entertainment has announced that the latest superhero parody from director Axel Braun, Man of Steel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, is now available on vivid.com and will be in stores nationwide on July 9.
In his latest intrepid undertaking, Braun has created an updated spoof of the classic all-American superhero that adult fans will not want to miss. In fact, over 100,000 eager adult fans viewed the trailer on YouTube in the first 48 hours after it was posted.
In Man of Steel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, Ryan Driller reprises the role that launched his career. Gone is the dorky, fumbling Clark Kent of the ‘70s. In his place is a darker, moodier parody version of the iconic character, with more action, more drama and definitely more sex than any of its mainstream incarnations. Of course, the parody drama will also have Braun's exceptional quality and attention to detail, including a black Superman XXX costume designed by the director.
“I just wanted to humanize the character a bit,” said Braun. “I felt that Superman could use some of those elements that made Spider-Man so appealing, some of that vulnerability and not-so perfect life. The result is a beautifully engaging dramatic adult movie with a compelling story, plenty of sex, and some of the best acting I’ve seen in a long time.”
Vivid CEO Steven Hirsch concurred, saying, “Axel just keeps topping himself, over and over again. The passion he infuses each one of his projects with is unparalleled, and his deep knowledge of the characters truly shows in every frame of this amazing movie.”
Braun’s screenplay begins with a freak accident in which Clark kills super villain Livewire. He then leaves Lois Lane and returns to Smallville to rekindle his romance with childhood sweetheart, Lana Lang. But President Luthor uses the accident to call for a $1 billion bounty on Superman, triggering immediate action by Angle Man, Silver Banshee and Bizarro, the grotesque mirror image antagonist of Superman.
In addition to Driller, the cast includes Kirsten Price (Lois Lane), Samantha Ryan (Lana Lang), Sasha Knox (Livewire), Skin Diamond (Silver Banshee), Alan Stafford (Angle Man), Eric Masterson (Dr. Fate), Kendall Karson (Zatanna) and Billy Glide (Bizarro). In non-sex roles Bryn Pryor plays Lex Luthor and Giovanni Francesco is Batman, while Kimberly Kane makes a special appearance as Wonder Woman in a prelude to her own upcoming movie.
