Vivid Girl Sunny Leone to Star in India's Leading Reality Show

LOS ANGELES—Adult superstar and Vivid Girl Sunny Leone has made independent mainstream movies and been featured in TV shows, but she will make her biggest crossover yet on Monday, Nov. 21. That's the day Sunny becomes a contestant on Bigg Boss 5, the wildly popular reality show from Endemol that is broadcast on the Aapka COLORS channel in India.

Bigg Boss follows the Big Brother format, which was first developed by Endemol in the Netherlands and is seen on the CBS Network in the U.S. An estimated 28 million viewers will be watching to see how Sunny will fit in with the other contestants and house guests.

Contestants stay in a single house for about three months without any connection to the outside world. They are overseen by a mysterious person known as "Bigg Boss," whose presence in the house is known only through his voice. The dynamics between the contestants creates the tension and fascination for viewers.

Every week the public gets to vote via phone or text messages for their favorites and the one with the least votes is evicted. Everyone will be able to see Sunny live and in the house on SunnyLeone.com daily.

"I can't wait to meet everyone and see how things work out," Leone said. "I'm sure I'll love some of the other contestants, but if there is friction, I think my background in adult entertainment will help me not to hold back on anything."

Born in Ontario, Canada, Sunny made a big splash in the U.S. in 2003 when she was named Penthouse Pet of the Year. She then became one of the most popular contract actresses with Vivid, the world's leading adult film company. She was the first performer of Indian descent (her parents were born in the Indian state of Punjab) to be a Vivid Girl. Movies from SunLust Pictures, Sunny's own successful production company, are distributed by exclusively by Vivid.
