NEW YORK CITY—Rick’s Cabaret International Inc.’s (NasdaqGM: RICK) newest gentlemen’s club, Vivid Cabaret New York, will hold the Grand Finals of its 2014 Pole Dance Competition at 11 p.m. EDT Saturday, May 31, and crown Miss Vivid Cabaret New York Pole Dance Champion.
The three-story club, located at 61 West 37th St., is famous for having the city's tallest stripper pole (25 feet) and the first-of-its-kind VIP Ultra Lounge. The competition was held over 10 weeks, and the Top 10 finalists for the title were chosen from more than 500 entrants.
"We have so many beautiful and talented performers," said Shaun Kevlin, regional manager for Rick's Cabaret New York and Vivid Cabaret New York. "There was standing room only at the club during the preliminaries, and the crowds loved the girls. Choosing from the final 10 will be difficult, and surely a night to remember for anyone who witnesses it."
Miss Vivid Cabaret New York Pole Dance Champion will receive $5,000 plus a trip to Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami, home of the tallest stripper pole in North America (30 feet tall), where she will represent Vivid Cabaret New York in the national pole competition versus Tootsie's famous pole dancers and competitors from across the country, including winners from Vivid Cabaret Los Angeles, Jaguars, Onyx, and X-T-C club contests.
The Tootsie's Summer Pole Party will be July 25-26, and will award $20,000 in cash prizes. Among the competitors will be celebrated adult entertainers Christina Aguchi, Lacey Rain, Vayda Kiss, Artemis Moon, Phoenix Phires and other well known feature entertainers.
Vivid Cabaret New York has received rave reviews since its opening earlier this year. The club features 100 exotic dancers daily, four stages, VIP Private Suites, a Roof Deck Smoking Lounge and Garden and the latest in sound and lighting technology.
