HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Adult performer Tanya Tate is set to take part of CatalystCon’s "Fantasy Girls: The Perils Women Face In Geek Culture" panel at 11 a.m. in the O'Hare Room of the Westin LAX Hotel on Sunday, Sept. 14. A well known and popular geek in her own right, Tanya will be discussing the treatment of women in geekdom. From online trolling to groping of cosplayers without consent, a myriad of topics will be looked as well as the actions for progress.
“I am thrilled to be part of this panel,” said Tanya. “Female equality in geekdom is a very important issue and one that should be discussed.”
Joining Tanya on the panel are other geek creators and personalities Michael R. Colbert of Crazy Mary Comic, Sherri L. Shaulis from AVN, and Tanya’s co-star from her movie Cosplay Queens and Tied Up Teens Ela Darling.
The CatalystCon is taking place this weekend at the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel located at 5400 West Century Blvd in Los Angeles. Ticket as well as additional information can be found on the event’s website: http://catalystcon.com.
When Tanya is not making appearances, guesting on panels or discussing the merits of a female’s role in geekdom, she is busy blogging on her pop-cultue site JustaLottaTanya.com. There, her video toy reviews, comic book news and event coverage can be found. Actively cosplaying since 2010, Tanya has branded herself in the mainstream media as a legitimate geek and has recently launched her own line of vinyl action figure; My Hero Toys.
