Spearmint Rhino Donates to Burned Entertainer Roberta Busby

LOS ANGELES — The employees and entertainers of Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen’s Clubs donated more than $4,500 to Roberta Busby, the entertainer who was burned at a Southern California gentlemen’s club.

Busby was working as an exotic dancer in a Tarzana, California gentlemen’s club when she was set ablaze by two attackers. The attack left the mother of two children with second and third degree burns over 40% of her body.

“I am appalled by this terrible act and hope that she recovers fully and is able to get back home to her family soon,” says Erick Sikkenga, executive vice president of Worldwide Operations.

Spearmint Rhino took up a collection at its corporate office in Norco, California, as well as leaving out donation buckets at each of its U.S. locations for more than a week, and raised $4,612.50.

“Our entertainers' safety is our main priority,” continues Sikkenga. “This affects all of us and we have sent out notices to the management, staff and entertainers to use extra caution when it comes to their safety and security.”

Donations are still being accepted. Donations may be mailed to Rodrigo Busby – For the benefit of the children of Roberta Busby, PO Box 256, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362.
