‘Saving Humanity’ Garners Major Media Coverage

TARZANA, Calif.—Media organizations ranging from adult press AVN and Fleshbot, to mainstream outlets such as Esquire Magazine, Nerdist.com, NPR, MTV, ToplessRobot.com and others were given an inside look of upcoming sci-fi feature Saving Humanity from AMKingdom.com.

In addition to top billed James Deen (The Canyons), media interviewed Andy San Dimas (Drive), Celeste Star (Revenge of the Petites), Riley Reid, Tara Lynn Foxx, Sativa Verte (Revenge of the Petites) and other cast members.

Some online publications immediately sought out leading man Deen during their first experience on an adult entertainment set. “The film set is just as professional, efficient and hard working as any
other in Hollywood, if not more so,” quipped ShalomLife.com writer Ele Boddie. “I walked away from the set
completely blown-away by the way the adult entertainment industry works.”

Of Deen, Boddie said, “Deen prides himself and those he has worked with on their professionalism and efficiency, from the very beginning process of casting right down to being on set.”

MTV’s Guy Code also had insight to share about “the craziest stuff we discovered on the set” of Saving Humanity, ranging from urban legends to the perks of being on a film set, adult or otherwise.

Popular nerd blog NerdReactor.com looked to gain more information on the technical and sci-fi aspects of the movie by asking the cast to answer some video game and time travel questions, in line with the story arc of the project. Nerdist regular SexNerdSandra queried Deen on everything from robots and dildo packaging to masturbation, sexual orientation and Deen’s mission statement.

ToplessRobot.com, home of “nerd news, humor, and self-loathing,” covered production aspects of the movie, including the writing process, the difference between mainstream film and adult productions (“Asked the
difference between union actors and adult stars, [director Harry Sparks] says the latter are easier to direct because ‘they have fewer hang-ups.’”)

Saving Humanity will seek an R-rating from the MPAA for its initial incarnation, which will receive theatrical, DVD, VOD and cable distribution. AMKingdom.com owner Kim Nielsen plans to first release Saving Humanity as an R-rated movie, followed by a Director’s Cut, which will include sex scenes.

AVN’s Mark Kernes asked, “We also have to wonder what [conservative TownHall.com columnist Brent] Bozell would think of Deen's upcoming role in Saving Humanity as the evil ‘President Weinstein,’ leader of the evil Corporation, which rules the world in the year 2054, who's hell-bent on stopping Sara (Sinn Sage), a scientist from that year who travels back in time to the Prehistoric Era, 1958, and finally 2013 to recruit a team of gifted young women to help save the human race from extinction?”

“Many productions, whether mainstream or adult, shy away from having the media get an inside peek,” Nielsen said. “They want to keep as much under wraps until the film is released. We invited the media to visit the set of Saving Humanity because we have an immense sense of pride about our project, and we think we’ve cast the most professional and gifted talent in the industry.”

Nielsen continued, “By opening the doors to mainstream outlets, we’re able to shed some light on how our industry operates: in a professional, organized manner, just like any film production should. It’s a delight to see media help us break down myths about the adult industry.”

The feature also stars adult performers Skin Diamond, Cindy Starfall, Ana Foxxx, Anthony Rosano, Seth Dickens and Beryl Aspen, plus numerous extras.

“We enjoyed having the media visit during our initial shooting days,” Nielsen said. “We’re looking forward to opening set to even more media at the end of the month.”
