LOS ANGELES—Sam Hain makes his Zero Tolerance directorial debut with the neo-noir thriller, The Valley, scheduled to hit streets the week of June 25.
Hain is best known for The Sex Files I and II (Revolution X/Digital Sin) and Horizon (Wicked Pictures). The Valley is his first film outside the sic-fi genre.
"With Sam Hain at the helm, an adult movie becomes a film event," Zero Tolerance Marketing Director Marcus West said. "It's Sam's first non-sci-fi concept, and it's executed beautifully. We're excited to be able to help him deliver his new vision, and have fun getting the word out."
The movie's plot follows a private eye named Marlowe who's been hired to find a wealthy man's missing daughter and soon finds himself in a world of danger. As the case leads him further into an underground porn industry, Marlowe finds that there are few he can trust in a case where everyone is a suspect.
The neo-noir film, shot art-house style, stars Tommy Pistol as the gumshoe hero, Marlowe.
"I love the noir genre, and wanted to use that lo-fi look to make a film that really grips people with its visual appeal," Hain said. "Tommy does a fantastic job as Marlowe. It was fun to work with him because he really dug into the role."
The cast also features Andy San Dimas, Chanel Preston, Lizz Tayler, Katie St. Ives, Stevie Shae, Chastity Lynn, James Deen, Evan Stone, Anthony Rosano, Brian Street Team and more.
"Sam Hain films always perform well at retail," said Lucy Vonne D'Olimpio, sales executive at Zero Tolerance. "And it's easy to see why. He has a loyal fan base who love his combination of great storytelling and hot sex."
The Valley is scheduled for release June 26. A premiere gala launch and promotional contest announcements are coming soon.
