RIVERDALE, N.Y.—Innovative hybrid publisher Riverdale Avenue Books will publish the behind-the-scenes story of The Making of Going for the Gold, a Vivid Entertainment movie release about the alleged relationship between Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps and his former intersex girlfriend, Taylor Lianne Chandler. The book will be co-authored by USA Today best-selling Lissa Trevor.
The book chronicles the events leading up to the filming and release of Vivid’s Going for the Gold, and features the new porn star’s version of intimate and erotic details of the relationship.
According to her book, Taylor met her Olympian on Tinder last August. “It was like a teenage love affair,” she says. “I have never felt so comfortable and accepted in every way as I did with him.” She was working as a sign language interpreter on Capitol Hill prior to all the publicity about her affair with the high profile Olympian.
“He made me feel like I was the most beautiful woman in the world. There is not one part of my body that he doesn’t know and he loved every inch of me. This movie will show just how passionate and loving our relationship was.”
In The Making of Going for the Gold, Taylor, who was born with both female and male parts, takes the reader through the experience of being thrust into the limelight, the decision-making process to make a porn video and deciding to become a voice for those born with double genitalia. “I wanted to make this movie to celebrate this incredible time in my life and also to open the conversation about people born with both male and female genitalia so that there will be more education and understanding of what it’s about,” said Taylor.
“Intersex is an umbrella term that has replaced hermaphrodite which is now considered politically incorrect,” says Taylor. “In my case, I was born with both a penis and a uterus. Even though my original birth certificate says that I was born male, I always felt that I was a female,” says the 5-foot, 8-inch Taylor, who has long blonde hair, brown eyes and a slim, but shapely figure.
Taylor is also at work on a longer autobiography, which will chronicle her life story of growing up intersex and hopes to become a voice for a group of people who have remained largely unheard.
“Riverdale Avenue Books is thrilled to be working with Taylor on this ground-breaking book,” said Publisher Lori Perkins. “Riverdale Avenue Books has a reputation for publishing important and controversial books and we are pleased to give Taylor the platform from which she can share the story of being born intersex in America.”
The movie will be released online through the Vivid Celeb imprint on Monday, Jan. 12. Vivid is the leading adult film company and is internationally known for its celebrity sex tapes starring such personalities as Kim Kardashian, Pamela Anderson, Kendra Wilkinson and many others.
