LONDON - Redemption Films has picked up two new movies for DVD release in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
Breaking Nikki (2008) is an English-language Argentinian thriller about ia man who uses torture, drugs, and abuse to transform a "hapless call girl" into the image of his ex-wife.
The Czech film Spring of Life (a.k.a. Pramen Zivota, 2000) is described as "a bleak, haunting and emotional drama" about a blond, blue-eyed Czech girl is consigned to the Nazis' master race breeding program.
Redemption is known for its special edition DVDs of films by Jean Rollin, Jess Franco, Pete Walker, and other European cult directors. The label has released several volumes in its fetish series Satanic Sluts (www.satanicsluts.com).
Redemption and parent company Salvation Films are distributed in the U.S. by Rkyo Filmworks, a division of Warner-owned Rykodisc.
