MIAMI—Pleasure Dynasty’s Taxi Driver: A XXX Parody was named Best Parody (Drama) at the 2012 XRCO Awards. Leading man Tommy Pistol, himself nominated for the XRCO’s Best Actor award for his work on the film, accepted the trophy on behalf of Pleasure Dynasty’s Carlos Cavero.
“We are honored and grateful to receive the XRCO’s Best Parody (Drama) award for Taxi Driver XXX,” Cavero said. “It is a terrific affirmation of our company’s mission to create the highest quality adult entertainment. I would like to thank the esteemed members of the XRCO for recognizing the movie, and our very talented cast and crew for making Taxi Driver XXX such a phenomenal success.”
The X-Rated Critics Organization is a professional critics’ circle devoted to the recognition of outstanding quality in adult moviemaking. The XRCO Awards are a long-running and well-respected tradition in the industry, with this year marking the 28th annual ceremony.
“On behalf of Pleasure Dynasty, Sensuous Diamond and Exile Distribution, we thank XRCO,” said Howard Levine of Exile Distribution, which handles sales of Pleasure Dynasty’s movies. “This movie is more than a parody; it’s a labor of love with incredible attention to detail. Director Rob Black [aka General Stone] and Tom Byron deserve all the credit for this production. Without them it could never have been made as well as it was. They did an awesome job. Tommy Pistol, Jesse Andrews, Lily LaBeau and the rest of the cast were beyond great. Thank you to XRCO for recognizing high quality and for this award.”
Pleasure Dynasty created Taxi Driver XXX in collaboration with Sensuous Diamond. The property of one of Pleasure Dynasty/PD Films, LLC’s investors, Sensuous Diamond was developed through PD Films’ unique business model.
