SAN FRANCISCO—Pink & White Productions has been named the Best Porn Studio in the San Francisco Bay Guardian's 2014 Best of the Bay Readers' Poll.
Best of the Bay is a longstanding tradition with the fiercely independent publication, which annually polls its local and online readers and asks them to choose their favorite San Francisco Bay Area businesses. That a small producer of queer porn, owned by a woman of color, received recognition speaks to the hard work and unique vision of Pink & White's founding director Shine Louise Houston and the success of her projects, including queer porn internet saga CrashPadSeries.com, and the video-on-demand hub for indie and emerging adult filmmakers, PinkLabel.tv.
The win is bittersweet, however, as it was announced that the San Francisco Bay Guardian’s October 13 Best of the Bay issue will be its final print. Pink & White Productions extends its gratitude to the writers and workers behind the weekly publication's 48 years of uncensored journalism.
Pink & White also thanks the readers who voted, as well as the company's production crew and talented performers, without whom their success would not be possible. It also thanks its loyal viewers and supportive industry allies. As the company approaches its 10th anniversary in 2015, it will continue to try its best to bring high-quality adult entertainment that exposes the complexity and intimacy of queer sexual desire.
