PHE Employee Bradley Long Wins Local Award

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.—PHE Inc., parent company of Adam & Eve, is pleased to announce that Ralph Bradley Long has been chosen as a “Man of the Year” by Spectacular Magazine.

Long’s award was for community service as “Program Facilitator, Rites of Passage Program at Durham Business & Professional Chain (Durham).” Rites of Passage is a mentoring program for African-American boys ages 13-17.

Spectacular Magazine, in conjunction with Triangle Cultural Awareness Foundation, recognized and honored the achievements of African American men with the Spectacular Magazine Man of the Year Awards.

Twenty-four African American men in eight categories were selected by the N.C. Juneteenth Celebration Planning Committee as semi-finalists for Spectacular Magazine Man of the Year Awards. Nine of those received the title at an awards banquet on June 18. The black-tie banquet was the kick-off event of the sixth annual N.C. Juneteenth Celebration & Unity March.

Mr. Long has been with PHE, Inc. for 16 years. He currently holds the position of operations coordinator.

His supervisor, Duncan Whitehead, says, “Long is a dedicated employee with a purpose—in addition to his regular schedule, he’s here almost every weekend doing shipping runs and requesting our period-end processing. In his spare time, he’s touched hundreds of lives through the Rites of Passage program, mentoring and helping “at risk” boys become men. He’s a good worker, friend and citizen.”
