Award-winning adult film director Nica Noelle and erotic film star Ariella Ferrera will co-host a special Valentine's Day Erotic Workshop at Excitement Video in Woodland Hills on Thursday, February 7 at 7 p.m. The two adult industry veterans will discuss how couples can utilize erotic films—particularly "romance" titles—to spice up their sex lives and increase sexual intimacy. The lecture and workshop are free and open to the public, and attendees can purchase Noelle's videos at a special, reduced sale price.
"Ariella and I are excited to talk to fans about how viewing the right porn with their partner can enhance, rather than threaten, a relationship," said Noelle. "I chose Ariella to host the workshop with me because she embodies the kind of passion and sexual authenticity I strive for in my films. And she's also the star of our current hit movie, Mother Superior [from Girl Candy Films]."
Noelle, who along with her partner AEBN heads multiple top-selling adult film studios including Girl Candy Films and Hard Candy Films, was recently profiled by ABCnews.com as the "Queen of Romance Porn." She's been credited with starting the current "romance" trend in adult films, beginning with her former studio Sweet Sinner Films and continuing with her new studio Hard Candy Films.
"When I first started shooting romance porn, everyone said it would fail; nobody thought there was a market for it," said Noelle. "But fast-forward five years later, everyone's got a romance line and ABC News wants to interview me about it. It's very exciting to be recognized for influencing my industry in such a profound way."
Noelle said this workshop is the next step in bringing her philosophy to the public.
"Many people—women in particular—are still suspicious of porn, and fear it will ruin their relationship or turn their partner into a [porn] addict," she explained. "Hopefully, this workshop will shed some much needed light on the positive aspects of erotic film, and the new, exciting ways it can help couples to connect."
Excitement Video is located at 19841 Ventura Blvd.,Woodland Hills; the workshop take place on February 7, beginning at 7 p.m..
