CHATSWORTH, Calif.—New Sensations/Digital Sin took home an impressive six AVN wins at the 2014 AVN Awards. Given the number of films produced each year within the adult marketplace, receiving award recognition is a highly competitive honor. In the months leading up to the ceremony, AVN judges scour over hundreds of films from gang bangs to features, selecting what they consider to be the most worthy in a particular category. For New Sensations, those films included The Temptation of Eve, The Submission of Emma Marx, The Gang Bang of Bonnie Rotten, The Innocence of Youth 5, and Girl Fever this award season.
AVN was correct when it said, "The Feature's Not Dead" in their January 21 article officially announcing the season's winners, and it was New Sensations' two features The Temptation of Eve and The Submission of Emma Marx that took home three of the show's major awards that evening. The Submission of Emma Marx won for Best BDSM film and The Temptation of Eve earned Best Romance and Best Actress for Remy LaCroix, who also took home an award win with Riley Reid for Best Girl/Girl scene for New Sensations' film, Girl Fever.
Award-winning writer and director Jacky St. James said, "Being able to walk away with so many wins in the feature categories was incredibly rewarding for all of us at New Sensations. So much time, energy, and passion goes into making a feature film happen, and every person who had a hand in its creation is part of that award recognition. I'm overjoyed for our entire team both in front of and behind the camera!"
The Gang Bang of Bonnie Rotten, featuring Performer of the Year Bonnie Rotten, received a number of accolades and critical acclaim throughout 2013 and ended up taking home the coveted Best Group Sex Scene award. “Having the great privilege of shooting Bonnie Rotten's first gang bang meant a lot to Digital Sin,” said the film's award-winning director Eddie Powell. “When Bonnie first walked into our office, we knew she had what it takes to be a major star within the adult industry. Her passion for doing great work and pushing herself beyond her own limitations elevated this scene to award winning status. We couldn't be prouder of her!"
Topping off the evening for New Sensations/Digital Sin was a win for Best Young Girl Release for its provocative film, The Innocence of Youth 5. The film, which stars AVN's Best New Starlet, Mia Malkova, also features Adriana Chechik, Angel Del Rey and Ashley Stone in some incredibly haunting performances which emphasize heightened sexuality stemming from forbidden encounters with older men.
"These wins were a great start to the new year," said President of New Sensations/Digital Sin Scott Taylor. "Our studio has a lot of exciting releases planned for 2014 and being honored in so many categories at this year's AVN Awards, sets our entire team in a positive momentum going forward."
