WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Transsexual adult star Mia Isabella will be appearing at Micky’s this Wednesday night from 7 to 10 p.m. as part of Scotty B’s seasonal Cocktails with the Stars Super-Month.
The inclusion of a children’s shoe drive, presented by Christian Owen, will make the night extra special. Owen is asking fans to bring a new pair of children’s shoes or a gift certificate to the festive event. Other XXX performers present will be Jimmy Durano and J.R. Bronson.
Owen explained, “When I was a child I was excited when I got a new pair of shoes at Christmas. For this reason, I started an annual shoe drive nine years ago to provide shoes for children in need to help make their Christmas special. This has been a hard year for many people, but it is time to open our hearts to those in need by donating a new pair of shoes that will be given to the children of West Hollywood.”
Scotty B, presenter of Cocktails with the Stars, echoed Owen's enthusiasm. “Of course, our show is truly about talking to the newest, hottest porn stars out there in the adult community,” he said, “but maybe you didn’t know for the last six years we’ve worked closely with Christian Owen to have a yearly shoe drive which coincides with his birthday. Thank you for making a child’s Christmas extra special.”
Mia Isabella, winner of NightMoves’ Transsexual Performer of the Year 2012, has made it her goal to volunteer and assist in as many charities as she can, including taking a special interest in helping young gender-confused people make the same transition that she has gone through as smoothly and as painlessly as possible.
“I started my career in adult entertainment when I was 19 and I want to be a role model for the TS community because I know firsthand how extremely hard and brave it is to put yourself out there into the mainstream world and not back down from being who you are,” said Isabella, a Chicago native who currently resides in Los Angeles. “There’s a lot in the community I want to be a part of. And it’s not because I’m a porn star, but because I’m a TS first and foremost. Being in the adult industry didn’t exploit who I am; it only made me more confident to be the person I always knew I could be.”
Isabella, who describes herself “the cutest TS chick with the biggest candy stick,” is ready to meet fans new and old and indulge in some cocktails and sexy holiday cheer.
