LOS ANGELES, CA — She’s a porn star, a model, and a voiceover artist — and now Mia Isabella can add art director to her list of professions. The entrepreneur directed Penthouse Pets Natasha and Natalia Starr in an editorial and erotic photo shoot for use in magazines and advertising.
“I tapped into my 10 years of experience as a top adult model and shot the girls from a fashion editorial perspective — knowing how I would want to be seen and captured from my point of view,” says Isabella. “Using my skills as a fashion stylist and former boutique owner, who shot her own editorial spreads for marketing and magazines, it really felt like second nature.”
Isabella adds, “I wanted the camera’s eye to see and show things from my perspective. It was easy shooting two long-time friends, who are also Penthouse Pets! The Starr Sisters were thrilled and enthusiastic to be my living dolls and I provided them with an inspiration and theme of being the bad ass version of the Hilton Sisters of porn.”
The photographer, Barry Kelsall of Ant Man Photos, is a friend of the newly established Art Director. Isabella’s exclusive stylist, Nancy Diaz, provided hair and makeup, and Ty Roderick, who has been more than a friend to Isabella over the years, acted as technical consultant for the shoot.
“I’ve worked with Barry for years and Nancy has worked with me on some of the biggest projects of my career,” says Isabella. “It was also an honor to invite Ty Roderick of Red Raw Media, my partner of the last few years, to offer his technical assistance and directing perspective. His recent editorial work was so incredibly well done and his aesthetic is very much like my own. The shoot was fun and I’m already fielding booking requests from the industry’s top talents, which proves my perspective is something sought by models and performers alike. I look forward to working with you all as well as adding photographers, editors, and other creative types to my team, who have captivating, powerful styles to help me created incredible visions and bring them to life.”
Mia Isabella is nominated for 2014 TS Performer of the Year at the Fanny Awards. The accolade, dubbed “TS I Love You,” is decided upon by fan votes and presented at the Exxxotica love and sex expo in Atlantic City, NJ.
