'Marriage 2.0' Captures Attention of AVN Awards with 11 Nominations

LOS ANGELES—Marriage 2.0, produced by LionReach Productions and distributed by Adam & Eve, has received 11 nominations for the 2016 AVN Awards. The nominations include Best Polyamory Movie, Best Director – Feature, Best Actor and Best Actress – Feature, and Best Screenplay.

“We are honored and excited to see the depth of recognition given Marriage 2.0 by AVN this year,” said Magnus Sullivan, who wrote and produced the film and was nominated for Best Screenplay. “One of our goals in creating this movie was to show the dire need to shift the public's perception of adult cinema from the staid and predictably disappointing use of hardcore sex in film that defines our genre toward a vision of adult as a dynamic, creative, moving, and relevant platform that shows the breadth and power of sex as a narrative tool.

“It's nice to see that AVN acknowledges this effort and, in doing so, acknowledges the need to fundamentally rethink the content our industry produces,” he added.

The AVN Awards will take place on January 23, 2016 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The event’s hosts include adult superstars Anikka Albrite and Joanna Angel. To view a complete list of the 2016 nominees, visit AVNAwards.avn.com/#nominees.
