HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Manson Family XXX director Will Ryder has issued a brand new movie trailer as famed Charles Manson prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi dies. The Los Angeles prosecutor and author of the chilling book Helter Skelter, detailing the strange life of the Manson family, passed away of cancer at the age of 80 this week. Ryder was putting the finishing touches on the movie trailer when he heard the news.
"The 1960s were a very turbulent time and you could not have had two more opposite-end-of-the-spectrum people than Charles Manson and Vincent Bugliosi," Ryder remarked noting that Bugliosi was a wholesome All-American type growing up in the 1940s and 1950s while Manson whet his appetite for sex and debauchery on a daily basis.
There has been some recent publicity regarding the Manson family, what with Manson's now canceled marriage plans, the new NBC Television series Aquarius starring David Duchovny as a lawless cop hunting Manson, and now Bugliosi's death.
"Mr. Bugliosi was a great man and Manson was not so good," Ryder said but noted that Charles Manson had an incredible ability to pick up women, making a porn movie about his life controversial, yes, but perhaps interesting to those curious about his lifestyle and the willing women he had sex with.
"Ours is a movie best watched from beginning to end before commenting on it, and hopefully our new movie trailer will convince the opposition to take a closer look," Ryder concluded.
Manson Family XXX has been a lightning rod for criticism, including this story on TMZ, and was delayed by legal threats which have now been cleared.
The movie stars Sarah Vandella, Nadia Styles, Cassidy Klein, Maya Grand, Judas, Gaia, J. Steele, Kurt Lockwood, Jack Vegas, Dick Chibbles, Jeremy Conway and Eric John.
