Adam & Eve Sex Survey Shows Most Believe Love at First Sight Exists

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.—When it comes to all things related to sex and romance Adam & Eve has revealed the latest findings on adults’ feelings about love at first sight from its Great American Sex Survey.

This month’s results reveal that over half (55 percent) of American adults say they believe in love at first sight—with most of those respondents (71 percent) admitting they’ve experienced it themselves.

Resident Sexpert Dr. Kat Van Kirk states, “While online dating is a great tool to meet people, these results reiterate the fact that as human beings we need to make that physical, personal contact…When it comes to love at first sight, there is simply no substitute for physical presence.”

Of those polled, 27 percent responded they do not believe in love at first sight, and 18 percent are unsure.

Chad Davis, marketing director for Adam & Eve, adds, “Adam & Eve is pleased to be a part of the research regarding all areas of sexuality. From first dates to relationships to solo experiences, we want to make sure they are as fulfilling as possible.”

The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices. "Sex Chat with Dr. Kat" can be found on podcasts through iTunes or DrKat.com.
